Heroes and Villains

Following the closure of the MMO "City of Heroes", I'll be using this page to record my experiences with the "Heroes and Villains" project - an attempt to create a community-focused fan-made superhero MMO - www.heroes-and-villains.com

This is the cover for my fist City of Heroes comic - it’s aimed more at new players, and the focus is more on the game world rather than gameplay mechanics - but I hope longer-term players will also enjoy it :-p
Clicking on the image will take you to my DA page, where the rest of the comic can be viewed.

I’m still working on my 2nd CoH comic, but as it won’t be ready for a bit, and I haven’t uploaded anything for June yet, I made a picture of me flying above Paragon City, looking for villains :-p

To mark the start of double XP weekend today, I uploaded a one page comic I made last year that kinda has a connection to the idea of earning experience points very fast :-p

It’s coming up to the first anniversary of the launch of the Going Rogue expansion for City of Heroes, so I’ve decided to upload some of my older GR-related art to DA for the first time, starting with my very first bit of art I ever posted on the official CoH forums, featuring a well-known reclining catgirl :-p

The Going Rogue anniversary upload for today is more art from last year, featuring Calvin Scott, leader of the Praetorian Resistance, making a difficult moral choice :-p

August 17th 2010 was the soft launch of Going Rogue, when players who had pre-ordered could enter Praetoria on the live servers - so to mark the anniversary, here’s a guide I made last year to explain the language of the Resistance :-p

August 18th 2010 was the date Going Rogue went live for everyone, and for a couple of days, the non-Praetorian parts of the game felt kinda deserted - which is the subject of my final anniversary upload of older GR art :-p

I’ve finally finished my 2nd CoH comic for newer players, although some non-comic related stuff meant I wasn’t quite able to get it done in time for the launch of CoH: Freedom yesterday  :-p
I’m hoping to put together a PDF version quite soon, but until then, people can just use the links on each page to flip through them. Also, as there have been a couple of big changes to the game since I started work on the comic, that means that a couple of panels are now out of date - and timeline-wise, recent story updates in the game means that this comic is set a few months back from the present time.

Something related to the potential for trouble caused by giving out pet dog powers in a city with so many catgirls :-p

A third comic for new “City of Heroes” players - like the previous 2, timeline/lore-wise, this is also set before the Praetorian War/Galaxy City disaster/”Who Will Die”, as it was planned out and written around the time GR launched, with a few tweaks here and there to reflect the post GR content ;-)
